Iranian expert Pouya Huseyni, who is known for his pro-Armenianism, openly threatened Armenia in his statement to the Armenian media.

Axar.az reports that he touched on this while talking about the fact that Russian border guards will completely withdraw from the Armenia-Iran border on January 1, 2025, and that the borders will be protected by Armenians themselves.

Hosseini said that how to protect its borders is Armenia's own business and Iran cannot interfere in this. However, he also drew attention to Iran's concerns regarding the information spread by the "Ribar" publication, which is known for its closeness to Russian intelligence agencies. Thus, "Ribar" said that in Zangezur province on the border with Iran, positions are already being prepared for two intelligence maneuver groups of the United States, after the departure of the Russian border guards, the Americans will be stationed there and will monitor Iran's activities, especially the launch of missiles.

In response to the journalist's question in this regard, Pouya Hosseini emphasized that Iran has warned all its neighbors not to turn their territories into a place of anti-Iranian operations:

"If something like this happens in Zangazur, Iran will drop bombs on those points to protect its territories. This is Iran's legitimate legitimate target. I do not think that Armenia will go to such a confrontation with Iran. If Yerevan goes for it, it is definitely against the national security of Armenia and will end badly for both countries."

It should be noted that no political scientist in Iran expresses an independent opinion on the country's position. At many points, Iran admitted that it voiced the words that it could not express in diplomacy through the language of political scientists and experts. Even the Armenian MPs who visited Iran openly stated this.

It seems that Huseini's hasty statement is an official warning of the Iranian state to Armenia.
