Several thousand North Korean soldiers are conducting training on Russian territory.

Axar.az reports that a Ukrainian official shared this information with The Washington Times.

The official noted that these forces could be deployed to the frontlines in Ukraine or to Russian border areas by the end of 2024. Having North Korean troops in border regions would allow the Russian army to redeploy its forces to the frontlines.

According to South Korean and Ukrainian officials, the North Korean military is likely to be stationed in the occupied parts of the Donetsk region. Ukrainian intelligence reports that some North Korean officers are monitoring Russian operations and studying the battlefield in occupied Ukrainian territories.

Currently, the exact number of North Korean troops sent remains unknown.
