Biden urges Armenia to finalize peace deal by 2024

US President Joe Biden sent a letter to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, urging him to complete the work on the peace agreement with Azerbaijan by the end of 2024.

Axar.az reports that the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia has released information about this.

"As you know, finalizing the rest of the peace agreement will require perseverance, wisdom and compromise. But you have courageously and consistently chosen the path of peace by putting patriotism ahead of politics, and I urge you to complete the agreement this year," Biden said in the letter.

Biden assured Pashinyan that the United States is ready to support a long-term and honorable peace agreement that will finally end the centuries-old conflict.

"The peace agreement that ensures the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia will not only bring security and stability to the Armenian people, but will also change the entire South Caucasus region," said Biden.
