The Iranian hacking group accused of intercepting emails from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign has finally achieved some success in getting their stolen material published after struggling to attract mainstream media attention.
Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, in recent weeks, the hackers have been distributing Trump’s emails more broadly to a Democratic political operative, who has shared a large volume of material on the website of his political action committee, American Muckrakers. The latest documents reveal communications between Trump’s campaign and external advisers, covering various topics in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
The Department of Justice indictment said that the leakers are three Iranian hackers affiliated with Iran’s Basij paramilitary force, which consists of voluntary members who assist the regime in enforcing its strict laws and exerting influence.
