Georgia cannot harm the Russian economy by imposing sanctions.

Axar.az reports that Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said this in an interview with the press.

According to him, Russia accounts for 0.3 percent of Georgia's foreign trade. Therefore, the imposition of sanctions will not cause any harm to Russia.

"At the same time, the application of sanctions has the same meaning as the escalation of the conflict. Therefore, we had very strong reasons not to satisfy the demands of the opposition," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
