The European Commission refused to give a recommendation to start negotiations on Georgia's membership in the European Union.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the published report of the institution.

The EC will not be able to consider its recommendation to start negotiations with Georgia unless Tbilisi reverses its course that has adversely affected its path to the EU and demonstrates clear efforts to address EU concerns in the implementation of reforms, the report noted.
