Heavy trucks banned on Georgia-Russia road after snowfall

The road from Georgia to Russia through the Upper Lars border crossing has been closed to heavy trucks.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by Vaan Akopyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia.

"Due to snowfall, the movement of articulated and semi-articulated vehicles has been banned on the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international road, specifically the Gudauri-Kobi section. However, the road remains open for light vehicles," the attaché stated.
