South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol spoke with Donald Trump on Thursday to congratulate him on his victory in the U.S. presidential race, which was based on the “Make America Great Again” slogan.

Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, officials in Seoul are preparing for potential "significant" economic changes.

During a 12-minute phone call, Yoon and Trump discussed the strong security and economic partnership between their two nations, touching on a range of issues, according to a senior South Korean official.

In addition, South Korea's ambassador to the United States is scheduled to visit Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida to meet with members of the president-elect's team.

It should be noted that Trump's victory has sparked renewed focus in South Korea on his “America First” foreign policy and raised questions about how his unpredictable approach will unfold during his second term.
