Yevgeny Shevchenko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who spoke about the dictatorship and lawlessness in Ukraine, was accused of treason.

Axar.az reports that the Telegram channel of the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine reported on this.

The department said that the MP harmed the country's defense capability and information security.

"As confirmed by comprehensive psychological, linguistic and military expertise, the MP began attacking Ukraine's defense capabilities and information security before the start of a full-scale Russian invasion. So, he spread false information about the absence of a threat of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine from the territory of the Republic of Belarus in 2021," the official statement said.
