Iran and Russia discuss Parsabad-Bandar Abbas railway

Iranian and Russian officials are discussing the construction of a railway from Parsabad, on the border with Azerbaijan, to Bandar Abbas, Iran's largest port on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Axar.az reports with reference to TASS that Kazim Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow, said this.

"In addition to the Rasht-Astara railway line, the Russians want to invest in the construction of the railway between Parsabad and Bandar-Abbas," Jalali said.
