Ukraine could join the European Union (EU) during the term of the new European Commission, whose mandate will last five years.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his X account:

"I wish the new European Commission success in strengthening a united Europe and enhancing the EU’s role as a global leader. We look forward to continuing our productive cooperation on key issues of the Ukraine-EU strategic agenda. We are confident that under this European Commission’s leadership, Ukraine will achieve its ultimate strategic goal—membership in the EU."
