Details have emerged about the operation by the Islamist group "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" and allied factions against the Bashar al-Assad regime and Iranian-backed fighters.
Axar.az reports that as a result of the operation, since yesterday, "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" has managed to clear a large area around Aleppo from Syrian forces.
So far, the group has captured key positions including Aqil Hill, Al-Raqib Hill, Mount Kuptan, Debbabat Hill, the town of Anjara, and 32 villages.
The area seized by "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" is reported to be nearly 254 square kilometers.
The opposition’s military command has also stated that after intense fighting, they managed to take back the town of Urm al-Kubra, located 20 km from Aleppo, from Assad's forces and Iranian militias.
It is important to note that since yesterday, the Islamist group "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" has launched a large-scale operation against the Syrian army and fighters backed by Iran.
The toll “in battles ongoing for the past 24 hours has risen to 132, including 65 fighters from HTS,” 18 from allied factions “and 49 members of regime forces.
