The leaders of the Palestinian Hamas movement are discussing possible concessions to Israel. In particular, the preservation of Israeli forces' control over the Philadelphia Corridor.
Axar.az reports that the New York Times newspaper wrote this.
As stated in the article, the movement believes that Israel demands complete surrender from it. However, the group still does not agree to this. But some of the movement's leaders are discussing possible concessions they could make.
Thus, one of the proposals being discussed in the Hamas leadership would allow Israel to maintain its presence, at least temporarily, in the border area between Egypt and Gaza. However, Hamas publicly rejects any long-term Israeli control over the area.
