Turkiye opposes sanctions on Russia

"We are against any decision that could affect gas imports from Russia," said Turkiye's Minister of Energy, Alparslan Bayraktar.

Axar.az reports that the minister emphasized that there should be no interruptions in the import of Russian natural gas:

"Even during the most severe political crises, Russia has been a reliable supplier and a safe market. Therefore, we oppose anything that could disrupt this flow."

It should be noted that the U.S. has imposed sanctions on Gazprom, causing significant challenges for Turkiye's gas payments to Russia.
