Makhachkala airport shuts down due to UAV attack threat

Makhachkala Airport has suspended its operations due to the threat of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks, starting from 08:19 Moscow time. The airport is neither receiving flights nor operating any departures.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Sergey Melikov, the head of Dagestan.

He stated that there had been an attempt to attack objects in the Caspian Sea using UAVs.

No casualties have been reported.
