Iraq Enhances Security Along Syria Border Amid Escalating Tensions

Axar.az reports that Iraq is strengthening security along its border with Syria due to rising tensions in the region.

According to Iraq's Border Forces Commander, Mohammad Abdulwahab al-Suwaidi, advanced units have been deployed to secure the area. "We have reinforced our border and stationed our best units there. Our borders are secure, and breaches are unlikely," he stated.

This follows reports of Tahrir al-Sham militants capturing Aleppo, prompting the Syrian regime forces to withdraw temporarily.
