Israeli Air Force fighter jets forced a plane coming from Iran to change its route over Syrian airspace.

Axar.az reports that this was shared by the Times of Israel.

It was stated that the incident took place during the night of December 1st, in Syrian airspace. Israel suspected that the aircraft flying from Iran was carrying weapons intended for Hezbollah.

As a result, Israeli fighter jets approached the Iranian plane flying over Syrian airspace and ordered it to turn around. The report notes that the plane's crew a short while later complied with the directive.

The interception of the flight came as part of Israel’s efforts to prevent Iranian weapons from reaching the Lebanese terror group, during a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
