The foreign ministers of Iran, Turkiye and Russia are likely to meet in the framework of the Astana process on Dec. 7 and 8 to discuss Syria on the sidelines of the Doha Forum.

Axar.az reports that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this on Monday, according to state media.

The Astana process, launched in 2017, aims to facilitate dialogue between the Syrian government and opposition groups, with a focus on de-escalation and humanitarian relief efforts. This upcoming meeting will be a critical test of the trio’s ability to navigate renewed tensions and chart a path toward peace.
