The President of the Republic of Korea, Yun Seok-yol, did not inform the American administration in advance about his intention to impose martial law in the country.

Axar.az informs that journalist Barak Ravid reported this with reference to the representative of the National Security Council of the White House.

"The President of South Korea did not inform the United States about this in advance," he said.

It should be noted that South Korean President Yun Seok-yol declared martial law to prevent North Korea from interfering in the country's internal affairs and to protect the constitutional structure. The parliament considered the president's decision invalid.
