Putin: Trump's absence hurt dollar's position

Trump has been out of power for 4 years and during this time the position of the dollar has been damaged.

Axar.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin said this while commenting on Donald Trump's appeal to BRICS members who want to abandon the dollar.

"The newly elected president has not been in the White House for four years, and during this time there have been some changes in the economy, the world and the American economy. His followers and political opponents have done a lot to undermine the fundamental foundations of the dollar as the world reserve currency," said Putin, stressing that today the dollar is used as a tool of political and possibly armed struggle to harm other countries.

It should be noted that in his appeal to the BRICS members who want to give up the dollar, Trump threatened them with the introduction of customs duties.
