Turkish FM discusses situation in Syria with UN chief

Turkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has spoken with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

During the phone conversation, the recent developments in Syria and the region were discussed.

Hakan Fidan stated that Turkiye would review the conditions necessary for the reopening of its embassy in Damascus.

They also discussed potential steps that the international community, led by the UN, could take to ensure a stable political transition in Syria, deliver humanitarian aid, and rebuild the country.
