Fire at detention facility in Yakutia kills five

A fire has occurred in the detention facility for individuals who had deserted military units in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Russia.

Axar.az reports this information based on Russian media sources.

According to the reports, the fire broke out on the night of December 19 to 20, resulting in the death of 5 people and smoke inhalation injuries to 7 others.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
