Turkiye calls for support of Syria's new government

Turkiye called on international actors to support the new government in Syria.

Axar.az reports that Turkish National Defense Minister Yashar Guler said this.

"The powerful regime in Syria has fallen and a new phase has already begun. In Syria, the people already have a say. We will continue to stand by the Syrian people as we have done so far. "We will work in coordination with the new government to ensure the territorial integrity, political unity, security, and stability of Syria," Guler said.

According to the minister, Turkiye will do its part for the restoration of stability in Syria and the return of refugees to their country.

"Influential actors in the region already accept Turkiye's key role in the processes. Terrorist organizations like PKK, YPG, and ISIS have no place in Syria. The steps of these organizations that threaten the security of our country and Syria are carefully monitored, and preventive measures are taken against them. Terrorist organizations will not be allowed to abuse the instability in the area. Our operations will continue as planned and at an increased pace. Any place where there are terrorists is a legitimate target of the Turkish Armed Forces.
