Russia sets April 2025 deadline for illegal migrants

Illegal migrants in Russia must leave the country or adjust their legal status by April 30, 2025.

Axar.az reports that this is stated in a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The deportation regime for illegal migrants in Russia will come into effect on February 5, 2025. It will apply to foreigners who lack a legal basis for staying in the country. All individuals in this category will be included in a registry of monitored persons until they leave the country or regulate their legal status.
