Syria's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity must be fully restored, and Israel's aggression must be immediately halted.

Axar.az reports that these remarks were made by Syria's special representative to the UN, Geir Pedersen, in an interview with Anadolu Agency.

Pedersen pointed out that the Syrian people, who have been liberated from the oppressive and authoritarian regime they have been subjected to for more than 50 years with the collapse of the Bashar Assad regime, are at a historical turning point, and noted that Syria has entered a period of profound change shaped by administrative changes, evolving military dynamics and economic crisis.

He noted that the situation in Syria was extremely fragile, and that while life was relatively calm and stable in some regions, including Damascus, conflicts continued in some regions, including the northeast of the country.

Pedersen said that protecting civilians remains one of the country's urgent priorities, adding: "Syria's sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity must be fully restored. All acts of aggression, including Israel's, must be stopped immediately to ensure a more secure and stable future for Syria and the region."
