The upcoming presidential elections in Belarus should be held as a holiday, there is no need for an American show.

Axar.az reports that the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said this at a meeting with the chairmen of the provincial executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee.

"Elections should be held as a holiday. We don't need a show that shoots into people's ears or heads. These elections should not expose us to criticism again. The active phase of election campaigning has begun since January 1. We must pass the elections without breaking the law and with dignity," Lukashenko added.
