State of emergency declared in Kentucky and Virginia

Severe cold weather in the western United States is expected to bring above-normal snow and ice.

Axar.az reports that a state of emergency has been declared in Kentucky and Virginia due to unfavorable weather conditions. The meteorological service reported that the developing cold air masses could affect up to 60 million people, with some areas expecting up to 30 centimeters of snow.

Kansas Airport has been closed due to the risk of icing.
