Zelensky: Russia loses 38,000 troops in Kursk operation

Since the start of operations in Ukraine’s Kursk region, the Russian army has lost more than 38,000 soldiers.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this information.

He noted that it has been five months since the Defense Forces began operations in the Kursk region:

"Currently, Ukrainian fighters are maintaining a buffer zone there and actively destroying the military potential of the occupying country. During the Kursk operation, the enemy has lost more than 38,000 troops. In one direction alone, their losses total 15,000.”

The president also stated that Russian forces have deployed their elite units, as well as North Korean soldiers, in the region. Thanks to the operation, they are unable to redirect these forces to Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, or Zaporizhzhia.
