The Russian ship "Piligrim" has been involved in an accident off the coast of Malaysia during its world voyage.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the country's diplomatic mission in Malaysia has provided information about the incident.

The captain and crew of the ship were not injured.

"The Russian Embassy in Malaysia is aware of the incident involving the Russian ship 'Piligrim,' which occurred on December 20, 2024, on the northern shores of Borneo Island (in the Malaysian state of Sarawak). Since receiving the information, the diplomatic mission has been in contact with the ship's captain, S.V. Sinelnik. We are providing assistance to the crew members within our authorities," the embassy stated.
