Israel hopes Aoun's election stabilizes Lebanon

Israel hopes that the election of General Joseph Aoun as the president of Lebanon will help stabilize the situation in the republic and pave the way for friendly neighborly relations.

Axar.az reports that Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said this.

"After a long political crisis, I congratulate Lebanon on the election of a new president. We hope that the elections will contribute to the consolidation of stability, a better future for Lebanon and its people, and the establishment of friendly neighborly relations," the minister said.
