150,000 ordered to evacuate as wildfires rage in LA

Due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, 150,000 residents in the area have been ordered to evacuate.

Axar.az reports that the fires have damaged over 10,000 properties, with this number expected to rise in the coming days. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna, 57,830 infrastructures are at risk of burning.

In total, the wildfires have burned an area of 145 square kilometers, which is 2.5 times larger than Manhattan, home to 1.6 million New Yorkers.

It should be noted that on January 9, a warning was issued to 180,000 people in Los Angeles County regarding evacuation due to the ongoing severe wildfires.
