Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati has visited Syria.

Axar.az reports that this was shared by the Al-Mayadeen TV channel.

This marks the first official visit to Damascus by a Lebanese government head since 2010.

Talks between Mikati and the head of Syria's new administration, Ahmad al-Sharaa, were held at the People’s Palace, the official residence of the head of state.
