Neuralink gave third human a brain implant

Neuralink Corp., company founded by Elon Musk, has successfully implanted its device in a third human patient.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by Musk during an event in Las Vegas.

“We’ve got now three humans with Neuralinks implanted and they’re all workng well,” Musk said.

He also added that the company plans 20 to 30 more procedures in 2025.

Neuralink is one of several startups exploring brain implants designed to treat neurological conditions such as paralysis and ALS.

The Neuralink chip allows direct communication between the brain and external devices by recording and transmitting neural signals, such as restoring motor functions for individuals with paralysis, controlling devices with thoughts.
