Arab Foreign Ministers meet in Syria in Riyadh

A meeting of the foreign ministers of several Arab countries regarding the situation in Syria has started in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Axar.az informs that "Al Arabiya" TV channel broadcasted information about this.

According to information, the meeting is chaired by Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia. In particular, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the transitional government of Syria, Asaad Hassan al-Shaybani, the heads of the foreign policy departments of the UAE, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Egypt, as well as the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, are participating in the talks.

Extended negotiations on Syria will also be held today in Riyadh with the participation of representatives of European countries and the United States.

The participants of the talks are expected to discuss issues related to ensuring an inclusive political dialogue in Syria after the change of power in Damascus and the future state structure of the country. Also on the agenda are the cancellation of sanctions against Damascus and the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.
