Los Angeles wildfires could be the costliest in history

The damage and economic losses caused by the ongoing large-scale fires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas are estimated to be between $250 and $275 billion.

Axar.az reports that this estimate was provided by experts from "AccuWeather."

It is worth noting that last week, the portal estimated the damage at $52-57 billion.

To recall, the fires that began on January 7 and remain uncontrolled have already covered an area of 163 square kilometers. So far, 24 people have died in the fires, and thousands of properties have been destroyed.
