Syrian armed groups agree to merge into regular army

The "Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham" (HTS) group, along with other armed groups in northern Syria, including the Free Syrian Army (FSA), has agreed to integrate into a regular army.

Axar.az reports that Turkish media shared this information.

Commenting on the matter, the leader of the Syrian Transitional Government, Ahmed al-Sharaa, stated that building a state is not possible with armed factions:

"All armed groups must be integrated into a regular army. The new administration will carry out this process based on international standards for a modern state structure."
