Russia urges continued efforts for Palestinian statehood

Russia calls for maintaining efforts to achieve a comprehensive resolution, including the establishment of an independent state in Palestine.

Axar.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin made this statement following talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

“It is essential to continue efforts to achieve a comprehensive resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, based on universally recognized international legal frameworks, envisioning the creation of an independent Palestinian state coexisting in peace and security with Israel,” Putin said.
