It is time for the EU to abandon its sanctions policy against Russia, as they have not achieved their goals.

Axar.az reports that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote this on his X page.

He stated that the restrictions only harm the EU itself:

"It’s time to talk about sanctions! Did they bring the war to an end? - No. Did they cripple the Russian economy? - No. Did Europe manage to replace Russian energy from other affordable sources? - No. The sanctions engineered by the Brussels bureaucrats achieved one thing: they destroyed the competitivenes of the European economy. The time for change has come!"
