Armenian FM: Final peace articles delayed

The agreement on the remaining articles of the text of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan may take a long time.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“We have been working on the text of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan for a long time. Currently, 15 out of 17 articles have been agreed. The agreement on the remaining two articles may take a long time. However, the solution is for both sides to demonstrate the necessary political will. In this case, it will be possible to agree on the text in a very short time. Pashinyan has already stated that he is ready to agree on the text and sign it as soon as possible. In addition, we want the opening of borders and the restoration of railway transportation for the transportation of goods. This will create new opportunities not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan but also for all countries stretching from East to West. Another direction is the delimitation of the border, which began and is being implemented based on the Alma-Almaty Declaration. This is a major achievement,” Mirzoyan emphasized.
