American businessman Elon Musk has been denied permission to open an office in the White House.

Axar.az reports that billionaire Elon Musk sought to secure an office in the center of the White House. However, the US administration plans to establish his Department of Government Efficiency in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, keeping it farther from the Oval Office.

The decision was made by Susie Wiles, Chief of Staff to US President Donald Trump. She denied Elon Musk a permanent office in the West Wing of the White House.

According to media, Wiles made it clear that she does not welcome people who want to work independently or act like stars.

Additionally, when asked earlier this week by reporters whether Musk would get an office in the West Wing, Trump responded: "No. He's getting an office for about 20 people that we're hiring to make sure that these [savings] get implemented."
