Hungary demands that the European Union or Ukraine provide energy security guarantees in relation to the extension of sanctions against Russia.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Hungary's Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto.

"The EU's Foreign Affairs Council will meet on Monday to decide whether to extend sanctions against Russia. The formula is clear: from now on, we cannot pay the price for others' wars, nor can we accept risks to our energy security. Ukraine or the European Union must provide guarantees that there will be no obstacles to Hungary’s supply of natural gas and oil in the future," Szijjarto noted.
