An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 has been recorded off the coast of Kamchatka in eastern Russia.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It was noted that the earthquake's source was located at a depth of 48 kilometers.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 107 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
