Belarus never had such calm election before

Belarus has never seen such a calm presidential election and campaign.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Belarus’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov.

"I would like to thank my compatriots for their law-abiding behavior. Despite the attempts to distort the situation from abroad, we have never had such a calm election and campaign. This is proven by the numbers and, above all, by the people," he said.

It should be noted that Belarus held presidential elections yesterday. Voter turnout exceeded 50%, and according to exit polls, Lukashenko won with 87.6% of the vote.

The European Union has declared that it does not recognize the elections in Belarus.
