Lukashenko wins Belarus elections with 86.82% of the vote

In the presidential elections held yesterday, Aleksandr Lukashenko received 86.82% of the vote.

Axar.az reports that this information comes from the preliminary data of the Belarus Central Election Commission.

According to the data, the overall voter turnout in the Belarus presidential elections was 85.7%.

It should be noted that in the presidential elections held in Belarus on January 26, four other candidates participated besides Lukashenko. Oleg Gaydukevich, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, received 2.02%, entrepreneur Anna Kanopatskaya garnered 1.86%, Sergey Sirankov, First Secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee, received 3.21%, and Aleksandr Khizhnyak, chairman of the Republic Labor and Justice Party, received 1.74%.
