Syria's interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, will travel to Turkiye on Tuesday for his second international trip since the ousting of Bashar al-Assad in December.

Axar.az, citing Al-Arabiya, reports that the Turkish presidency has announced the upcoming meeting.

Sharaa "will pay a visit to Ankara on Tuesday at the invitation of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan," Fahrettin Altun, head of communications at the presidency, said on X.
