The "Imam Ali Islamic Center" in Stockholm has been a hub for Iranian intelligence activities against Sweden and Iranians living abroad.
Axar.az reports that Sweden's Minister for Social Affairs Yakob Forsmed stated this on his X account.
He emphasized that the Iran-linked center posed a serious threat to Sweden's national security, and for this reason, the government has ceased all funding to it:
"Government funds should not be used for activities that contradict fundamental democratic values," the minister added.
It is also noted that recently, the head of the Imam Ali Islamic Center in Stockholm, 63-year-old Iranian cleric Mohsen Hakimullahi, was arrested and will be deported from Sweden in the coming days.
