Mexico mulls lawsuit over Google gulf name change

Mexico may sue Google over the change of the name of the Gulf.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the President of the country Claudia Sheinbaum at a daily press conference.

She said that the government is considering suing the company for changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America in the Google Maps map service.

"If they continue to insist, we are considering going to court. Because even in Mexican territory, on our shelf, they call it the Gulf of America," Sheinbaum noted.
