An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck near the Russia-Mongolia border in the Altai Republic (Russian Federation).

Axar.az reports that this information was released by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

It was noted that the natural event was recorded 29 km west of the village of Kosh-Agac at 08:48 local time (05:48 Baku time).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.

No information has been provided about casualties or damage.
