4 wounded in terrorist attack on Mali Minister’s convoy

The convoy of the country's Minister of Higher Education of Mali, Bourema Kansaye, was targeted in an armed attack near Niena.

Axar.az reports that as a result of the attack, four gendarmes were injured, but the minister was unharmed.

According to reports, the assailants fired a rocket at the convoy, triggering a large explosion, followed by heavy gunfire between the attackers and the gendarmes escorting the minister.

It was stated that the attack was carried out by members of Katiba Macina, a group affiliated with Al-Qaeda.
