After the Munich Conference, Russia's main rival was no longer the United States, but the European Union.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian political scientist Alexander Rahr.

"The Munich Security Conference indicates the possible end of transatlantic relations. Europeans, who yesterday obeyed Washington like vassals, are now cutting off relations with the "Big Brother" through the mouths of their politicians. Europe, unlike the United States, will not accept a deal with Russia. London, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Stockholm - all of them believe in Russia's defeat on the battlefield, based on the fact that Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine is the victim and on the right side of history," Rahr said.
